Is there something you'd like to tell us?
Perhaps the most intersting fact about me is that I was once attacked by an elephant on safari in South Africa. Our vehicle was flipped numerous times but thankfully nobody, or animal, was seriosuly injured.

When did you start running and why?
I grew up playing lots of team sports, mostly hockey and cricket, but really only found running in my early twenties. I quickly found out that I might not have the speed for road running but might have the endurance for trail running. I enjoiyed the challenge of running further and exploring my own limits.

What's your job?
I spent the best part of my twenties in the military; first as a warfare officer in the Royal Navy and then as an infanty officer in the Army. More recently, I have been teaching mathematics at secondary school. After years of hard work and with thanks to the support of freinds, family, coaches, and Altra, I am now lucky enough to call myself a professional runner.

Why Altra?
I was first attracted to Altra nearly a decade ago when I spotted they marketed themselves as having a more natural foot-shaped shoe. I had tried other brands and often found them too narrow or I would regulalry get toe blisters. After experimenting with other brands through the years, I was fornuante enough to partner with Altra in 2025 and have not looked back since.
