Alban Berson

A man who truly loves mother nature is Alban Berson. He lives the mountains like no others. Alban lives in his camper-house from spring to fall, allowing him to move closer to the training courses and deeply experience his trail running life with the elements he loves the most: animals, plants, trails and high peaks.
The beginning of Alban’s career wasn’t easy. Before dreaming about the UTMB he had been living for parties and drinking, causing him to hit the bottom line.
“I realized I wasn’t taking care of myself, then I started running”. He completed his first half marathon in 1h 21m and became aware that his instinct is to run in mountain trails. Now he runs because he wants to explore the wilderness and compete with the fastest humans in the world.
Alban has a special passion for adventures in sports and nature, leading him to backpack, hitchhike and bike in 45 different countries of the world.
Beside trail running, he trains with cycling, cross-country skiing, ski mountaineering and swimming.

"I live in my camping-car because I love living a simple life, minimalism, and being in nature, the 3 elements that I also find in trail running".

Why Altra?
I started running with Altra because I wanted more stability and more space for my toes. I really enjoy the natural stride I can perform with Altra.

What's your favourite Altra Shoe?
My favourite shoe is the Mont Blanc because it’s very light and yet high cushioned.
